Elite Trees Limited is founded. Based on the Black Isle, it specialises

Donnie Williamson, the well-known and highly respected owner of
T & W Christie (Forres) Limited, retires. Elite Trees
and T & W Christie merge under the direction of managing director Richard Ogilvy.

Christie-Elite add a production stream of field grown broadleaves
by acquiring Tilhill Nurseries (Tillycorthie), originally Aberdeen
Tree Nurseries Ltd, founded in 1981.

Dennis Paterson joins Christie-Elite from Banff & Buchan Nurseries to create landscape
and amenity division. With over 30 years experience, mainly as Sales Director but
latterly as MD, Dennis is later joined by son Mark (sales), Bruce Main (despatch)
and Ian Thomson (senior driver), all experienced personnel previously employed by B&B.

Christie-Elite acquires the forest nursery business of Ben Reid
& Co. Aberdeen (founded around 1760).

Christie-Elite are appointed official "Tubex"
stockists. To enhance control and precision in delivery operations,
satellite communication system is installed in our delivery fleet
which allows real time monitoring of vehicle movements and ensures
close contact with drivers is maintained.

Sales top £2M for first time. Christie-Elite is awarded long term supply
contract by Woodland Trust.

Significant investment in new grading shed and doubling of cold storage capacity in Forres.
Company acquires "Electrodyn" Transplant Sprayer. Partnership with Rotary Spot Cultivation
Company, specialists in forestry ground preparation.
