Colorado Blue Spruce (Picea pungens glauca)
Colorado blue spruce; generally found planted as an ornamental rather than a timber species, blue spruce is the state tree of Colorado. It is a medium sized conifer found up to 50m. The blue in the common name refers to the blue-green (or glaucous) foliage of certain mature examples, and is not as obvious in seedlings.
