Common or English Oak (Quercus robur)
The King of trees, often living to 900 years old and more. Also the tree which has the most associations with wildlife that we know of, and therefore a nature lover’s choice! A member of the beech family, the tree will tolerate most planting locations, including an exposed spot, but will not do too well when subjected to sea winds.
