Grand Fir (Abies grandis)
An important commercial forestry species for paper and pulpwood and also a popular Christmas tree species, the noble fir is a large evergreen coniferous tree – up to a possible 80m tall. It is native to North America, and its aromatic properties have been used there by Native Americans for generations, who used the needles to make a medicinal tea.
