Silver Birch (Betula Pendula)
A native tree reaching up to 30m in height, Silver Birch does best in full sun and planted in deep, well-drained soil. It is known to be important for many forms of wildlife, in particular several moth species. Once the tree matures it develops its distinctive, silver fissured bark, and will produce pendulous catkins in the spring.
